Show Presentation: Kalinifta. The Chronicles of Love and Blood
On April 23, 2025, on a mild spring evening, Massimo Cordella presented his latest historical thriller novel entitled Kalinifta. The Chronicles of Love and Blood.
The presentation took place in the beautiful courtyard of the ancient Palazzo Romano in Patù, Lecce, enhanced by captivating lighting effects on the staircase and colonnade.
EVENING INTRODUCTION
The evening was introduced by Councillor Ada Bello, with the participation of Mayor Gabriele Abaterusso.
Professor Mario Carparelli from the University of Salento engaged in a dialogue with the author.
Key excerpts from the novel were read by Cordella himself, accompanied by the guitar of Franco Arcuti. Through his interpretation, he brought to life characters such as the fisherman Trifone, the Turkish commander Gedik Ahmed Pasha of Constantinople, the Doge Mocenigo of Venice, the painter Gentile Bellini, and the protagonist Kalinifta.
Massimo Cordella thus created a theatrical, almost fairytale-like atmosphere.
The evening concluded with a book signing and direct conversation with the audience, accompanied by tarallucci and wine.
